Benifits and Non-Benifits

There were not much physical changes to Egypt overall. Cairo (the main city in Egypt for marketing) was ruled indirectly by the british.
They sent foreigners from England to Cairo to take control. They were usually slaves taken from Egypt.

in 1900, 4 trains were built in Cairo. It went past local shops and buisness centres. It ran from Helwan to Tura. These were the first trains in Eygpt. A fith one was built later on to run from Guza to the pyramids. This was a benifit as it meant people could travel faster around Egypt and more of an economic growth due to the shops being built along the route.

Another benifit is the buildings that were constructed in Egypt. Schools and Churches were made among them. This meant the Egyptians were educated better and had better access to religion. This also evolved into Egyptians speaking English making it easier to market and trade. Nowadays many people in Egypt speak English (now that it is a world-wide language)

Racism was among the British Soldiers which was not a good thing. They took coloured children from their parents and made them slaves for no reason. They forced coloured people to do the worst jobs like making them grind spices for hours and hours. They also taxed them on the food the Egyptians sold. Racism still occurs in Egypt and all around the world.

The british also gave no independance. The law was made by them just to exploit the resources from countries. People were forced to do what they were told and were not allowed freedom. This caused riots and civil wars to happen.
